Adult Tap

Adult Tap is a lively and engaging class specifically designed for adults of all skill levels who have an interest in tap dancing.

Whether you're a beginner looking to try something new or an experienced dancer wanting to enhance your tap skills, this class offers a fun and supportive environment for you to explore the art of tap dance.

The class typically begins with a warm-up session to prepare the body for the physical demands of tap dancing. This may involve stretching exercises, rhythm exercises, and basic footwork drills. The warm-up helps to improve flexibility, coordination, and rhythm, ensuring that participants are ready to engage in the dance techniques.

Throughout the class, participants learn a variety of tap dance techniques and steps. These include basic steps such as shuffles, flaps, ball changes, and cramp rolls, as well as more complex combinations and choreography. The Tutor breaks down the movements and provides clear instructions, making the class accessible to dancers of all levels.

As participants progress in their skills, the class may incorporate more challenging steps, intricate rhythms, and syncopated patterns. The focus is on building precision, musicality, and style in tap dancing.

The Adult Tap class also emphasises the joy and artistry of tap dancing. Participants are encouraged to connect with the music, embrace the rhythm, and find their own personal style. It provides a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where dancers can have fun, express themselves, and build confidence in their abilities.
